What RV storage costs in Winnipeg
Only two Winnipeg operators publish RV prices. Butler's Compound Storage lists $65 a month for rigs under 30 ft, $73 for 30 to 35 ft, $78 for 35 to 40 ft and $110 over 40 ft, tax included. Transcona Trailer Sales has a July 2024 schedule of $749 for winter or $849 for the year for a 23 to 30 ft trailer, and $999 or $1,199 for a motorhome, plus GST. Check with the operator that the 2024 schedule is still current.

Parking an RV at home in Winnipeg
Winnipeg has separate rules for the street and for your own property:
- Street: a large vehicle or trailer cannot be parked on a street for more than one hour under Parking By-law 86/2016. To leave an RV on the street longer, you need a Temporary Recreational Vehicle Permit.
- Temporary RV permit: each permit includes up to four on-street activations, each valid for up to three consecutive days. A household can buy up to four permits per calendar year. Your licence plate acts as the permit, and you must notify the City at least 24 hours before a three-day period starts. The fee is in the City's fee schedule.
- Your property (outside downtown): a councillor's newsletter, last updated in 2021, says that from May 15 to October 31 one RV, travel trailer or motorhome may be parked on a front-yard driveway leading to a parking space, or in a side or rear yard, and that from November 1 to May 14 it may not be parked in those areas. It lists fines of up to $1,000. We could not confirm this against the current Zoning By-law 200/2006, so check it with 311.
